TNA Salary Survey Reports

TNA’s biennial Salary Survey Reports capture the salaries, benefits, professional development budgets, tenure, and representation of small to medium organisations in the performing arts sector. In addition to benchmarking, it advocates for remuneration that is in line with similar roles in other sectors.

These reports are free to all TNA members – individuals and organisations; or available for purchase for $330 (GST inclusive). Become a member here, or email josh@tna.org.au to purchase the most recent report outside of membership.

  • Independent Dance Sector Report

    2024

Co-authored by Carl Sciberras, Joshua Lowe, and Frankie Snowdon, the Independent Dance Sector Report was a national scan of the independent dance sector. The report includes a clear definition of the sector, key issues affecting the sector, and recommendations to address these. The report was used to prompt conversations between the different levels of sector ecology, identify stakeholders that can lead or contribute to implementing the recommendations, and clarify where additional support is needed.

  • Circus / Entertainment Rigging Report

    2019-2020

Theatre Network Australia’s consultation with the Circus and Physical Theatre (CaPT) sector across 2018 and 2019 anecdotally suggested the need for circus-specific training to be included in current Rigger accreditation. In response, TNA, in collaboration with our CaPT Advisory Committee, developed and conducted a survey which provided fuller evidence of this need to inform future action.
